EXPERIMENT

EXPERIMENT NOTE

Is soil needed for the germination of seeds ? 

MATERIALS REQUIRED 

Disposable glass , pea seeds , cotton, water.

PROCEDURE 

Holes are put at the bottom of the glass.

Take some cotton in the glass and put four or five pea

seeds.

Pour some water in the cotton.

Keep the glass open in sunlight. 

OBSERVATION 

 

  The seed have germinated on the second day. 

The sprout has become longer on the third day. 

INFERENCE 

Soil is not needed for seed germination.

EXPERIMENT NOTE

Is water required  for the germination of seeds?

MATERIALS REQUIRED 

Disposable glass ,dry pea seeds, dry soil

PROCEDURE 

Five pea seed were planted in the dry soil

taken in the disposable glass.

Observed the seed from the next day onwards.

OBSERVATION 

The seeds did not germinate.

INFERENCE 

Pee seeds need water to germinate.
