It was Kunchan Nambiar who founded 'Thullal.' This art form mock at the evils of society with a pinch of humour. Thullal is of three is of three types - Ottanthullal, Parayan thullal and Seethankan thullal. Among these, ottanthullal is the most popular one.

* For promoting Kathakali, Vallathol the well known Malayalam poet started Kerala kalamandalam.
👉THIRUVATHIRAKALI
Women perform dance around a lighted lamp on the day of 'Thiruvathira' in the month of 'Dhanu'. During the thiruvathirakakali, women wear traditional Kerala costumes, decorate their hair with 'Desapushpam' and clap their hands in tune with specially tuned songs
👉 KOLKALI
Kolkali is an art form where the performers dance in a circle. They sing together and dance to the rhythm of the song , beating the sticks in tune with the song.
👉CHAKYARKOOTHU
* It is an artform assosiated with temple
* The temple dwellers like Chakyar perform it.
* A local musical instrument named 'Mizhavu' is used in Chakyarkoothu.
👉MARGAMKALI
* It is an entertaining art form among the Christain Comunity
* It is performed by wearing traditional Christain dresses.
* The story of St. Thomas is described through the Margamkali songs.
👉KOODIYATTAM
* It is a traditional dramatical artform
* The male character and female character are performed by Chakyars and Nangyars respectively
* It gives more improtance to facial expressions , dance and music.
👉DUFMUTTU
* An instrument called 'Duff'( Covered by leather on one side) is used in this artform.
* During its performance the players wear the traditional islam dress.
👉THEYYAM
*It is a traditional religious artform, performed in Kavu ( Devi temples) for pleasing the Goddess especially in North Malabar region.
* The costume of the Theyyam is very attractive.
* The performer dances with the rhythm of music.
👉OPPANA
* It is traditional artform of muslims
* It is performed in house in connection with marriage.
* It is a visual artform performed by clapping of palms in a rhythmic oder.
👉THIRUVATHIRAKALI
* The l artform performed by the kerala women by dancing in a circular movement by clapping their hands with each other.
* Performers wear traditional Kerala dress.
* It is performed in the Malayalam month of Dhanu on the Thiruvathira day
👉PDAYANI
Padayani is an ancient art of Central Travancore. The first ceremony is the 'Kachacha Kettu' Those who are flexible and trained in the traditional way perform the 'Padayani' Some padayanis have special rites and ritual. The 'Tappu' is the main instrument of Padayani .There are a number of scenes in Padayani to entertain people. It can be said that the Padayani is associated with the harvest.
👉MOHINIYATTAM
Mohiniyattam is aunique lasya dance form that has existed in Kerala since ancient times.
It portrays the sringara rasa The padas varanas and lyrics written by swathi thirunal are still performed at Mohiniyattam today.
👉KUMMATY
It is a game in which children and youngsters dance to the rhythm wearing huge masks and body covered with grass . An old woman accompanies the players as a comedian holding an eggplant and a kummatikol. The game is celebrated as a celebration to welcome onathappan by singing Kummatippattu.
