വേദകാലത്തെ ഋഗ്വേദകാലം ,പിൽക്കാല വേദകാലം എന്നിങ്ങനെ തരംതിരിക്കുന്നു.

❔WHAT WERE THE FEATURES OF THE LIFE OF THE PEOPLE DURING THE RIG VEDIC PERIOD 
* Cattle rearing was the main occupation of the people
* People were also engaged in agriculture. Barley was the main crop.
* The group of Aryans who reared cattle were known as tribes.
* The chieftain of each tribe was known as 'Rajan ' 
* The tribes fought against each other for the possession of cattle. 
* There were between the Aryan tribes as well as between the Aryans and the Non -Aryans.
* The Aryans possessed horses and weapons made of copper and bronze
* With the help of these, Aryans captured the cattle of the defeated Non - Aryans. 
* The subjugated people were known as Dasas or Dasyus. The Rig vedic people worshipped gods such as Indra Varunan and Agni and goddesses such as Atithi and Ushas. 

❔WHAT COULD BE THE REASON FOR GIVING SUCH IMPORTANCE TO CATTLE DURING THAT PERIOD?
എന്തുകൊണ്ടായിരിക്കും ആ കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ കന്നുകാലികൾക്ക് ഇത്ര പ്രാധാന്യം ലഭിച്ചത്. 

* Cattle were considered as the most important form of wealth during the Rig Vedic period.
ഋഗ്വേദകാലത്തെ സമ്പത്ത് കന്നുകാലികളായിരുന്നു. 
* The main occupation was cattle rearing. 
ജനങ്ങളുടെ പ്രധാന തൊഴിൽ കന്നുകാലി വളർത്തലായിരുന്നു.
